Clearly, some people NEED to use this form of communication while driving. Police, delivery people, salesmen, etc.
How about this idea? In order to be able to use your cell phone while driving, you are required to take a two or three day course, including hands-on skills, then receive an extra notation on your driver’s license, and perhaps a sticker for the window of your car. Also, insurance rates go up. Anyone who wants to talk on the cellphone would be required to cough up the money to take it. Would also be a new industry, much like the defensive driving industry.
There is nothing that irritates me so much as to see some airbrain on the phone, driving ten miles under the speed limit in the left hand highway lane.
I have a Nissan and when i went to church left my car at the parking lot someone broke in by braking the window. I thought that all the cars that you buy have an alarm system, but, how come the alarm never went off? I my have the car remote and it has that button to make the siren go off. So i thought that mean that the car has an alarm, so i didn’t worry till know. So was it some professional that disabled the alarm or what happened? So i want to know what to look in my car and how to know that i have a good alarm system(Like if it has a blinking light or a sticker) or what to ask the mechanic what to put in or to do or how to make sure it don’t happen again?
I live in a huge apt complex. when people move in they are given a sticker to put inside the car window (like the ones you get when your car gets an oil change). I in fact went to get a oil change. when i got home i noticed the sticker was gone. I called the place that did the oil change and they said the trash had gone out for the night. than i called the leasing office to tell them and asked for a new one. they told me i could get a new one on monday and i am ok to park in my place. this morning i went to go out and my car was gone. I called the police because i thought the car was stolen. the fact was the leasing agent had it towed. I was real mad because i asked her if i could still park there and she had said yes. she said she was sorry, but i would have to pay for the tow. which BTW is 200 bucks. I told them since they made the mistake..they should pay. she would not budge. I called the place who did the oil change and told them since they took off the sticker they should pay. nobody is willing to own up. what should i do. I am not paying the 200 bucks.
We are looking to buy a new 2010 AWD Ford Fusion. We went to a dealership and they said all Fusions are AWD, but have been hearing differently. We got screwed on our last car, and do not want it to happen this time. The window stickers on the Fusions at the dealership only say traction control, and that’s what we got with the car we got a few years ago and they said it was AWD, but it wasn’t. We looked at a few Fusions at this dealership and they all have the exact button as our car now for traction control and they are telling us it is AWD. We have been told it has to say AWD on the back of the car for towing purposes, and we haven’t seen any emblem on any of the cars here so far, but the dealers are insisting they are all AWD. What can we ask for or do to make sure the car we want has AWD. We are going back later today, PLEASE HELP! We really need this car, but don’t want to get taken again. Does anyone know what models have the AWD or if they all really do like they say? Is is really a law that it has to have the AWD emblem on the car for towing purposes?
I met this guy online January 2005 dated for a few months and I broke up with him because he drinks heavily and becomes aggressive when he drinks.
Since around April 2005, I have tried to get rid of him. I gave him a few chances here and there and after that and he would drink again and the same thing would repeat.
Since, he has moved to NJ (he was from NY state when I met him), and now lives 5 minutes from my home!
He leaves me notes every single day on my car saying I hurt him and that he loves me. EVERY SINGLE DAY. Every time I leave to go out in the morning, there will be a note when I return on my fence. He obviously is watching my every move.
He is extremely jealous of my sister and accuses me of going to single clubs and bars when I am with her. Says that we are having sex with men when we go out. He knows every time she comes over.
He used to call my house all day long. I finally resolved this with a phone block, but he occasionally gets to pay phones and still continues to call.
I am afraid to get a restraining order since this may trigger a worse response.
I did call the police last month and told them there is a stalker at my home. What really hurts is, (I was told this by the stalker) the cop NEVER asked for his drivers license, insurance & registration (which he doesn’t have anymore) and failed to notice the expired inspection sticker in the window. The stalker was reeking with vodka and the cop didn’t even give him a DWI. Then the cop tells me they checked him out, which was a lie!
So I do not feel safe with the police.
What do I do?
i keep hearing that stickers and loud systems make up what is called a ricer. i have a small 5-6 inch Houston Rockets sticker on the side of my cars back window, what is that called??? I also have a Pioneer stereo, 4 Kickers in da car and 2 10′inch Boss subwoofers_dont usually have the stereo booming, but when i do!!!??? MY 2000 civic is pretty much stock besides the Halo headlights and foglights though…. Iam 19 and won’t consider going with a muscle car 4 a while, don’t think i can compete with my older brothers 93′ Cobra…….
Forgot to say iam in no way trying to “race” this car…. the only other thing i wanted to do is change the stock hub caps with the stock si rims because i have not seen any other alloy rims that would look good on it. Was actually saving up money to get a 2000 Si this November though….

i want to cover my car’s driver window with a light sensitive tape,sticker or something so it darkens when the sun is coming through it & goes back to normal at night . just like the light sensitive glasses .
is that avail in the market ? couldn’t find it .
The used car dealerships around here have a big sticker or sign with the “Monthly Payment” but never what they are selling the vehicle for.
What is the formula for determining what they cash price is on the car. You know, the old “sticker price” that dealerships, at least somewhat honest ones, used to put on the window.
I understand they don’t want you to know that as they sell finaning and want the monthly price.
1. I know “why” they don’t reveal the info.
2. I have asked, and it’s an argument to get that out of them. eventually they lied. 3 salesmen gave me 3 answers that were $5,000 apart from each other.

Is there a rule of thumb formula, like monthly payment times assumed months (60 or 72 maybe) times some percentage to account or financing overhead in the mo*payment number?
On April 4th I saw a car on auto trader in van nuys. it was a 05 chevy cobalt and i went to the dealer that same day to look at it because i wanted to buy it. i got there in the night and i test drove it and it was about 8 in the night and the dealer told me that i would have to pick it up the next day because he had o fix a sensor on it, so i thought tat was fine, but he said to leave him a 500 dollar deposit to make sure i would buy it. the next day i went and i paid him 5,800 cash he said that the price for the car was 5000 adn the rest were fees and taxes. well as i was signing my contract i see that it said pull price paid in cash 5300. soi asked the receptionist who was hading me the paper work why it said 5300 if i gave them 5800 and she said that the taxes werent included so i figured she was telling me the truth. then i asked to have the car fax and she said there systems were down so i made sure i got a warranty paper since it said there was a 30 day warranty. i also asked for a pink slip andshe told me that they were gonna send the paper work to sacramento and i would be getting my registration on mail. i didnt think anything bad from it because i trusted them. well after getting on the road back home( i live 2 hours away) i stooped in Castaic to pump gas. afer i turned the car back on i notice it turned off and started up again on its own but i thought well maybe it does that on its own since its a newer model.( i know that sounds kinda dumb but i dont know anything about cars what so ever. ) after i got home and my dad saw the car he told me that the key they gave me was a copy not an original key and that the key wouldnt be able to open the doors if locked. so i called the guy and he told me he didnt know why. then later on on tuesday, a day after i bought the car, the engine light on the dash board turned on. so i called the dealer again and he told me he didnt know why and that he sold me the car AS IS and i tld him i had the warranty paper. it was a 30 day or 1000 miles warranty. 50% for motor and 50% for transmisson. then he was just kinda blowing me off. i tld him i wouyld take the car to a mechaninc and if the car had problems he would pay for it and he said he wasnt gonna pay for something he couldnt see and i said that wasnt a aproblem that i would take the car to him. so that day i took it to a local mechanic in my town and it ended up being that the problems were the catalytic converter and some fans in the motor and the key switch. he told me the estimate would be aroung 900 dls. so i called the dealer emedietly and no answer i called the next day aswell about 10 times and still no answer. so on Friday April 8, just 4 days after buying my car i decided to drive up there and make them look at the car and fix the problems well when i got there the dealersgip was GONE!. there were nomorecars no people no nothing! I was so mad, sad. i didnt know what to so so i went to the LAPD and they sent me to consumer affairs and they gave me a number to the dmv investigators and i sent a complaint form with all the paper work which was really only the contract i was given and some little sticker to put on my window . the thing is that the 30 days werent up yet but i had already made 2 trips to Van Nuys trying to contact them or find them. that was about 3 weeks ago and since i hadnt heard anything from them i went to the dmv today to see if they had some info to give me. they didnt have much to tell me but to wait for investifgations to call me, then i asked her under whos name was my car under then she told me some dealer or something like that and if i would want the registration i would need signatures from previous owners and i would have topay 934 dollars for the registration because they hadnt paid the tas in about 2 yers. i halready fixed the repairs to my car and i have no money and no job =( im a college student whho saved up for a car and now i have nothing and no job! How am i gonna pay that.Im always sad and worried, i cant even sleep thinking of this. If they find the owner of the dealer, CAN I SUE HIM? WILL I WIN? PLEASE HELP ME IM SO LOST AND I DNT KNOW WHERE TO GO FROM HERE!
I bought a car 2 months ago at a dealership, at the time they said i was approve for financing, i sign a contract, and they gave the keys. I bought as brand new, right now after 2 months i have close to 2000 miles on it, the thing is, i still dont have my license plate, every 2 weeks they keep giving me that sticker to put on my window, and finally they told me i didnt really get approved at that time so they are trying to get a bank that would approve me, after 2 months i still didnt get any car bill, all i pay was $1000 down. I sold my other car already, and my question is do i have any rights if they ask the car back, can i do something against them?
