Basically I am 29 years old, and am a steward at a restaraunt, also I am mexican and have been here for like 18 months. Anyway Uhm, I got my license, and my other paerwork straight, I had saved up $ 1,500 dollars for a car, and came across this van at somebodys home. They were the original owners, they even had the window sticker from when it was first purchased new! All records, plus they had recent carfax history report. They said they were asking $ 500.00 for it, as they really wanted it to go because they were moving out of state the very next week. I checked it out started it up, checked air, radio, blinkers, lights, opened all doors, I mean everything works. It has 145,000 miles on it. The only thing was I had to get all new tires, as the tread was gone on the was that came with it. I got my windows tinted, and cleaned it up when I got home, I haven’t had not one problem yet, plus its good on gasoline! Do you think I made a good choice in picking it. Are they any good

I have a ‘91 civic, the most stolen car in my province, and it has a nice stereo which would be easy to remove from the dashboard. It has no theft protection built in, and i’m planning on painting it and possibly getting nicer wheels, making it a good car to steal. Do you think that a simple flashing light on the dashboard and fake alarm stickers are enough, or would a more expensive system be neccasary? PS: it has been broken into 4 or 5 times before through the windows, and one time the trunk release was tampered with and $1000 cameras stolen from the trunk. Also, someone pried the passenger-side lock, and it no longer unlockes from the outside with a key.

Trying to buy a 2002 Honda from a private party. Everything looks good. It’s a certified/pre-owned vehicle and the seller is saying the 7 year/100K mile powertrain warranty is transferable to the new buyer. He doesn’t have any documentation for the warranty (just had a sticker on the window of the car when he bought it) but he spoke with the Honda dealership (their central location) and they said it indeed is transferable to the new buyer at no cost but there is some paperwork since they need the car’s papers to process the request. Any thoughts/experience with the power train warranty transfer? Thanks!

I am in the market for a used SUV and I am going to pay cash for whatever I buy because I do not want to bother going through getting a loan whenever I can afford an inexpensive car. Since I am paying cash, I know that I should ask for a discount off the window price, but I’m unsure how much to ask for? I don’t want to be unreasonable, but don’t want to get screwed over either. I am also going to be trading in my current car and I expect to get about $2000 for it. The specific SUV I am looking at has a sticker price of $8995. Thanks!
