I Bought a 1994 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme with 167,000 miles on it at the end of June from an auto dealer and have substantial problems with the car ever since. On the test drive my girlfriend and I pointed out a few things that were noted on the bill of sale to be fixed before we were to drive the car off the lot including simple things like faulty window motors and a rattling sound in the rear passenger side wheel well. Everything that we listed ended up breaking again and the sound never went away and were given estimates to fix them even though we were in a 30 day window of taking the car and could not afford to fix them. Long Story short after several trips there and estimates I couldn’t afford I took it to another mechanic after my muffler fell off because no one at the dealership could fix it at the time It turns out my frame is damaged beyond any repair because of rust and the rattling sound we heard was our control arm that had broken through the frame. My new mechanic believes that the inspection sticker put on the car isn’t legit; like the dealership paid off the inspector because a car should have never passed a safety inspection with that amount rust and damage on the under carriage/ frame.
DO I have a case for auto fraud for undisclosed frame damage or the lemon law in my favor.
A few details- I live in Massachusetts, I brought all this to the owner of the dealership and was told to pound sand all they would do is find a welder at a a cost to me even though the new mechanic says it is rotted beyond repair. The RMV told me they are powerless over the inspection and Attorney general and Better Business Bureau will only mediate which the dealership refuses to do.
Alright so about a month ago I bought a Mazda from a private owner. The title was clean and the VIN number matched so I thought it was a good deal. I went and registered the car in my state and transferred the title and got insurance. Well a couple of days ago I was at work and was called by the police department to come out to my car. Apparently a girl had noticed that the hatch on my car had a sticker in the window that had been from her car and called the police because it had come off her car that had parts stolen from it. All the doors, the hood and the bumpers had allegedly stolen from her. I don’t know how she can prove 100% that they are hers but the police were talking about taking my car to the impound and taking the parts off the car! Fortunately they let me drive the car home until they could find out what they need to do. I have looked around the internet for a story like mine to find out what my rights are as an unsuspecting buyer but no luck. I have no idea what I can do because I don’t want to be out a car or the doors. So far I have gotten no call back from the police department. If you know any laws about used car purchases in Idaho any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advanced.
Yes she did report it stolen. I did identify the guy who sold me the car and the girl knows the guy too. I think there is some bad blood between them from what I heard her tell the police. He had told me that the car had been wrecked so he had to replace all the doors and he had primered the car so it is all the same color. It seems pretty shaddy now that I look back on it but at the time the guy seemed legit and like I said the title was clean and registration was no problem.
I bought a redneck sticker for my brother’s truck.
I put $4000 down and was schedualed to pay $400 a month for 60 months ( I paid if off in 18 mo to save interest).
The sticker price was $25,500, but they let it go for $19,900 plus tax and lic and some fees.
At Toyota they are offering me a 2007 Tacoma Prerunner with a sticker price of $27,045 for $21,900. The down would be $2000 and pay $427 for 60 months.
Did I get taken by ford in 2000? is toyota offering me an average deal?
your help will be greatly appreciated!
I just purchased a new care and obviously it had the paper plates. Earlier I went to visit my parents whom live in a rural area out on the countryside. My car was super dusty and it rained so it looked horrid (Black). I took it to wash at one of those gas stations with the pressure wash and when I got home I noticed the paper plate fell off and it just had small pieces of paper on the nails where it shoulda gone. Is this a problem. I have the window inspection sticker? Obviously cops can stop you for whatever, but is it really that big a deal..it was an accident
I was at walmart Mexican woman with 4 kids bought $ 331 of food with WIC card so how is it she had a brand new 2011 Toyota Sienna SE VAN in the parking lot, they cost about $30,550 and it still had the dealer tag on it ? She could not speak english. The van had about 3 decals of Mexico flags on the windows and one Viva La Raza bumper sticker on back bumper and on the front, it had a front plate with Mexico flag on it . How do illegals afford vans like this , if they make only $ 3.00 an hour ? How can they need the dream act, when they are driving around in vans costing over $ 30,000 ?
The sticker he put on the back read, “Powered by Testosterone!!!”.
It makes my feel bad as a women, because I can’t be that strong! How would you feel having this much Male Power pushing against you????
It wouldn’t have been my first choice of guitar, it’s a Stagg SW203N. It’s black and has a tribal design on it. I am just beginning to play and have never picked up a guitar in my life and they said it was a decent guitar for someone just starting out, like myself. But I was just wondering if there was something I could do to make it more “mine”.. I have a lot of band stickers/decals.. and because it’s my very first guitar, and I plan to stick with this for a long time, I figured that putting some stickers on it would be sort of a memory, sort of?!
Will stickers/decals ruin my guitar if I put them in certain places? Does anyone else have any other suggestions as to how to make the guitar more my own?!
