I went to a dealership and don’t know which car to get, help me choose!!?

I recently went to this dealership and this guy is a dealer who you know won’t bullshit you. I am stuck between a 1999 chevy malibu or the 2001 oldsmobile intrigue. The malibu has a scratch on the hood and would need touched up for an extra $200. It has a sunroof with 93k miles. It doesn’t run as smooth as the oldsmobile (I took it for a test drive.) The malibu has a cd/cassette player and so does the oldsmobile. The malibu has stickers on the back that can’t come off like University stickers. Also the control panel for the switches like windows is loose but can be fixed. The malibu’s glove box handle is alittle loose but can be fixed as well. The oldsmobile is alittle bigger, has no sunroof with 109k miles and has a cd/cassette player. Also the gas thing is on the drivers side. I heard malibus gas thing tends to rust. The oldsmobile has a keyless entry, its a/c just needs recharged. I really like BOTH! I’m probably getting the intrigue but which one do you guys think I should get?

Is the used car dealership required to fix my air conditioning?

I bought a used car early last winter and it was too cold during the test drive to determine if the a/c was working or not. The window sticker said that it did work, however, so I took their word for it. Now that spring is here and it has gotten warm out, I have determined that the a/c does not work at all. Since it was marked as working on the window sticker, are they required to fix it for me? I know a lot of dealerships say you have 6 months or something like that to determine if the a/c is working if you buy in fall or winter, but I do not know if there is actually some sort of law that require dealerships to give you that timeframe in cold weather climates.

New Car Dealership to Dealership Transfer Cost?

I just bought a New Car in Kansas City and was told that the closest dealership that had the car was in Illinois which is about 5+ hours one way. When I get the car it had only 150 miles on it and when I found the Window Sticker it says it came from Columbia MO only 2 hrs. one way. I paid 300 dollars to have it brought here with the expectation that it was a substantial shipping distance. I could have gone to pick it up myself. Should I make a big deal about this to the dealership I got it from or just let it slide?
Yea Honestly thats what I wanted to know is was it a fair charge or did they just tack on an extra 300? Thanks for answers.

The dealership sold me an illegal car. What should I do?

It was represented as factory tinted and had at the time of purchase a valid inspection sticker. Now the sticker has expired and the car won’t pass without taking off the tint. This will totally change the looks of the car and also may damage the back window defrost wires. Plus I’ve already received one traffic ticket for the expired sticker. This is in N.C. where tinted windows are illegal if they are to dark.

Car dealership sold me a truck under false pretenses?

I bought a Ford Ranger XL from a car dealership 6 months ago. I just went to a car dealership to try to get out of it (or at least just see my options) and found out that on my sales contract as well as the sticker that they had put in the window on my truck, it says that it is a Ford Ranger XLT.

Now, the difference between an XL and an XLT is that the XLT has power locks, windows, and seats as well as cloth interior. (I didn’t know the difference and so couldn’t have said anything). My question is… since my contract says it’s something completely different than what it really is, isn’t my contract void? It is illegal for them to advertise that it’s an XLT (and price it as so!) when it clearly is not, right? And what can I do about this?
There’s no emblem. It’s on the sticker that says the year it is, the mileage, etc. And on my sales contract. I didn’t know the difference cuz it was my first car. The car dealership I went to today told me it is illegal for them to say it was an XLT because they have to list exactly what it is.

How can I view the window sticker price online for a vehicle at a dealership?

I would like to see what the sticker price looks like on a vehicle at a dealership out of town. I have the VIN for the car.

can a dealership sell a vehicle that has no inspection sticker?

My son recently bought a truck from a used car dealer and it does not have an inspection sticker. When it was addressed to the seller they told him they would get him one.

Has anybody ever worked at a car dealership that can answer this question for me?

Last night I bought a used car which on the window sticker stated there was no visable leaks. I get home with it and the engine is smoking and I find out there is an oil leak and the oil is dripping down onto the exsaust manifold. (I have no warranty) I feel as if they should be obligated to fix the problem for me at no expense to me. They give me the run around about and say I need to make an apointment and have somebody look at it before they can really tell me anything. I asked if I can change my mind about the car and have my money refunded. They said they can’t answer that either. (I thought you had like 24 hr. buyers remorse on all major purchases) I’m ready to go to the bank and put a stop payment on the check. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE HELPFUL Is it legal to change my mind about the car???????

Can a car dealership back out of a contract even after the bank accepted the loan?

I had purchased a new truck a couple months ago. I signed off on everything, as did the dealership, and the bank accepted the loan. I went in about a month later to get my registration stickers and was told the lender is backing out of the deal and that I had to return the truck. Can they do this?

Can a car dealership charge you after the sale if they miscalculated the vehicle registration cost?

We purchased a new truck at a California dealership. We signed the contract and paid for the vehicle. Eight months later we get a form letter stating that they miscalculated the vehicle registration cost and that we owe them $211. They have sent me a second notice in less than a month. Is this legal? The sale is complete. Can they demand payment for their own mistake? We are going to talk to DMV this week. I believe, from watching The People’s Court that it is a done deal, they signedthe contract and they can’t come back 8 months later and say they charged us wrong- so pay up. I am not sure if this is a legally correct theroy. We looked at the contract to see if there was a loop hole in there for that, but they gave us the Spanish version and we can’t read it. I will take them to small claims court if they try and send it to collections. Any thoughts? Thanks..-Cindy
