I got pulled over and found out that my inspection sticker was fake, i just bought the truck and i had no idea..when i asked the cop how do i go about reporting this, he just said to go online and look up law limits but i have yet to find the answer. i am so pissed about the fake inspection sticker! oh and also the cop said i can go back to the dealership to get a legit inspection and if it doesn’t pass they will have to pay to repair the truck and they will also have to pay for the sticker if not then to return the truck and get my money back. The thing is i don’t know how to go about that either.
They didn’t contact us about it until a month later. Then once they did they tell us, they told us that we needed to come back and refinance the truck with the amount they messed up on, which was 7000 dollars. I told them it was their mistake and that I am not paying anymore for the truck. They proceeded to send me a letter threatening to sue me if I didn’t. I hired an attorney and we are now waiting to see what to do next. In the meantime, I have been receiving letters from numerous finance companies thanking me for my recent credit application. BUT, I didn’t do any. So, what I found out after calling them, is that they are going behind my back without my consent and trying to re-finance the truck. I have gotten about a dozen letters. Then, to top it all off, I haven’t received my tags for the truck. It is going on 3 months. I called DMV and they said that there is a leinholder in Alabama that has the title still and that is why I haven’t gotten the tags. Help???
The payoff was 20,274. The salesman put down 13,274. I don’t understand how you make a mistake like that. He was writing it too, not typing. I do have an attorney and she is very good. Just a few details added.
How can I protect myself from these crooks? I know he was indicted along with some city officails and some morgage people, he tried to steal 1,400,000.00 in mortgages in kansas city. Will the IRS or FBI try to get his property? I remember that when I used to pay them before they closed one of the guys put the check I payed him in his pocket .
I would love to pay off what I owe but they disappeared for three months I did not know where to make my payment. Now that I know he is in jail , who get’s the money? They never sent a letter they only called to get me to pay three mos after they closed. I would love to find a contract to protect me so when I do pay off the truck about 2500…I get the title.
Go by Toyota dealer looking for truck…
Price is listed on printout in window (sticker) of truck detailing exact truck with MSRP 4K lower then the rest. Do they have to honour it??
ETA thx for your answer.
In this case, the sheet in the window includes all the specs 5.7L V8 4×4 double cab with off road pkg. It shows all the costs of these features and adds it up at the bottom (includes frieght, etc).
My ex was given the truck in the divorce settelment. The fiance company called me a month after the divorce was final and told me the truck was 8 months behind on payments and they were going to take leagle action against us. I called my ex’s brohter to have him tell her about it. He told me the truck was in Calafornia, and gave me his brothers number. I called him and he told me they sent out certified letters to me, my ex and to the finance company telling us to come and pick it up they do not want it. I never received it. He also told me he had storage, and mechanic fees attached to it. I told him to let me konw what it is and I will pay him and get the truck. After 3 weeks of him not returning my calls I let my lawyer handel it. My lawyer called and he was told he put a mechanics lean on it and sold the truck for $3500. But there is $26K owed on it.
Can this be done with out me being notified?
Any input on this whould be very helpful.
I bought a 2006 Mazda 6i today from a dealership here in Californa. I test drove this car beforehand and it drove great. When I drove the car off the lot today and got onto the highway, I hit a dip in the road. These are normal road conditions, but when I hit the dip I heard a loud scraping sound. I knew something was wrong so I got off the highway and pulled into a gas station and when pulling in I heard it again. I got out of my car and figured out that the rear tires had actually hit the wheel well, causing the part of the rear quarter panel that wraps around underneath the wheel well to bend outward and now there are dents near the wheel wells. If I continue to drive this car, the panels will fall off or it will puncture the tires eventually.
The dealership sold me this car with the aftermarket rims on it. They should have known that the wheels were too big. They have a 3 day return policy but with a restocking fee. Do I have recourse here to demand FULL refund?
I have another year left on my BMW lease and the payments are just too much for me now. I want to get either a new or pre-owned Honda or Toyota (for much cheaper payments). Does that work? Or do I have to go back to BMW only if I want out of the lease? I don’t mind paying the 12 months wrapped into my next car I just want my monthly payments down significantly.
I don’t like how these dealerships put adverts on the backs of all new and used cars, so I want to remove it, so i am not driving around giving them free advertisement.
But this damn thing looks like it was painted on ! It’s not a decal or a sticker and it’s plastered directly on the car’s paint.
