You know those stickers that you put on the back window of your car? I put one on my school laptop, and now I don’t know how to get it off.

i put an apple sticker over the hp decal on the cover. would it be okay if i left it on there? my dad said i should take it off.
I’ve seen bands on myspace (can’t remember who) but they had advertisements on their profile of some website where yo can buy their decals for laptops, mobile phones etc.. i can’t remember what it’s called!
’something’ it. Like ching it or ding it or something..
thanks jeazy but that’s not it
Well I’m currently studying graphic design and as it seems everyoen recommends that sometime in the near future that I shoudl invest in a laptop for my work.
Well among these various suggestions I have heard that Apple’s Macbooks are the “way to go” but everytime I ask why I seem to get the same generic answers like
“Theyre more reliable”
or “They’re perfect for Graphic Designers and all media related stuff”
and even “They’re just so convenient”
Ok thats cool and all but what Im looking at is similar statistics in terms of RAM and Processing speed in a PC laptop but with a $2000.00+ sticker price.
What is so great about them and if anyone answers somethign near to what I quoted I am going to punch someone.
Please give me more technical and specific reasons why the extra thousand dollars spent on a macbook makes it worth it.
Because personally Ive used Windows my entire life and unless theres a damn good reason to spend that much money Id rather build a custom Laptop.
Oh and also I checked up on a friend that does custom computers and he said a laptop with a NVIDIA 8600GT Graphics card with 512 mb of speed,
4 GBs or RAM ,
and a Duo Core Processor at 2×2.6 Ghz
Probably wont run me past 15-1700 bucks. goodness gracious, I hope everyone hasnt been simply brainwashed by Apples trends.

I made a purchase from the HP store online and got a dv6000z. I could not find the model no. on the the sticker label backside. All I could find it is dv6000 CTO Notebook. Is it that all custom made laptops have no specific model no such as DV6xxxUS? Otherwise, help me where I could locate it.
i got a 15×12 edge to edge screen on a laptop and i am planning on putting a image on the back side! on ebay they sell custom skins but i think they are asking to much for them! so i decided i can make one for really cheap! i don’t need to cover edge to edge! the size of the image i am going to put is 8×10 i was thinking sticker paper but don’t know if it will damage my notebook and if it will hold up! any one got any ideas how i could make one? i was thinking on glue (paper stick kind) but again issue with damaging backside!!! planning on doing ps2/ps3!
It’s being sold for $215.
If it;s a bad idea, tell me why. If it’s a good idea, tell me why.
Thanks!

Have a nice night!
After great advice from fellow Yahooers last night, my husband purchased the following laptop for $215. It works great.
Specs:
IBM ThinkPad T40 in excellent condition. Thin, light and built to last. Refurbished by IT Professional.
* PentiumM 1.5GHz Centrino
* 768MB DDR Ram
* NEW 120GB hard drive (Western Digital Scorpio 5400RPM w/ 3 yr warranty!)

* DVD / CD-RW drive
* Battery in excellent condition

Now, we are trying to make a decision regarding a laptop for me. Just found there is another of the abovementioned laptops available. Exactly the same specs, same price.
Should we buy another of the same? Or buy the following, which is new, from the store….but $299+tax:
Asus brand
8.9″ Notebook Computer with WSVGA, TFT LCD Display and 1024×600 Pixel Resolution
Loaded with Linux, 4GB Solid State Disk and 512MB DDR2 Memory
Intel Mobile Processor
USB 2.0, RJ-45 Port, 3 USB Ports
802.11b/g Wireless Connectivity , 10/100 Ethernet LAN Network Card
Intel UMA Graphics Card
Also Includes Adapter, Battery
Features MMC/SD/SDHC Memory Card Reader
It is smaller, doesn’t have a CD/DVD drive, less memory, and cost a bit more. But, it’s new.
What do you think?
Thanks in advance for the help!
These are the two choices. Thanks for the tip, but a $1000 MacBook is not an option..
I want to personalize my new macbook pro and I want to have a Legend of Zelda decal on the back. Every internet search has brought me either bumper stickers or decal for game systems.
Where can I find some cool laptop skins?
