Okay i’m a moron bought a car didn’t read what i signed… Question for you all……
So i bought a car today and the suave sales man showed me the car with 15900 painted on the window.. Good price for the car …. Got the paper done he said it would be 10$ extra for the extended warranty…. hate extended warranty but thought why not 10$ isn’t that bad…. so here comes the slight of hands
1.) the car was put on paper for 18000, with a 2000$ rebate, which was only given if i would waive my right for a 60 day money back guarantee,
This brought the car down to 16000,
2.) He said that i would need a 500$ down payment… i figured 15900 500$ downpayment= 15400 WRONG!, 15900+500$ down-payment=car price. Tell me if that makes sense your down-payment is added to the list price!!!
3.) The extended warranty cost 2495, 72 month payments… 2495/72=34.65 a month .. Way more then the 10.00 he said it was going to be.
And while im venting about how retarded i am for not reading, and how stupid our system is and why dodge is broke in the first place…….
On the sticker for the car it has standard equipment: and lists everything , and then under Optional equipment: it lists Customer preferred package 24F…anyone know if that means it should be included in the car, or if it can be included in the car…..
So question is, what do you all think of the situation? What would you do about it?
Depends really, since they didn’t give me the advertised price… Then reporting it to BBB as deceitful advertising practices is a choice.. I’m going to try to settle the price issues in house and since it is a dealer, all the way up to corporate…
But really just wondering about whether the customer package should be included… just wanna know so i can go up there and tell them to give me what they advertised, so if i cant argue price i can argue product.
Yeah, gre? got that right.. and understandable they have to make a dollar…
Sure can call it “experience learned” .. it just sucks that you have to go with the person who will screw you over the least
it’s impossible to buy a car and get away clean
thanks for reminder its not just me thou ![]()
Thanks Simpson, It’s just bugging me because tomorrows Sunday no one works Sundays
The paint on the window said 15900, the way he did the paper work was cash price 18437(including 537 sales tax) , then -500 cash,-2000rebate, unpaid balance 15937.00.
Then it goes on to add 2495$ service contract for the extended warranty, and the 500$ doc fee., total finance charges 19,000.
I emailed them about the warranty, and will call them Monday morning if i don’t hear back from them.
This is a dodge/Chrysler dealer.
Theres loopholes in every contract… Just like going to the store and buying something when you slide your credit card your agreeing to take it… If you get home and it’s not what you paid for you still have legal rights to get what you were offered… It’s just a hardier argument ..
