I took my car to an actual shop to have the windows tinted, not knowing I was supposed to have a “legalization” sticker placed between the tint and window per Texas law. Several months later I was pulled over and issued a verbal warning for not having the sticker. The shop should have put this sticker on there, I realize now, but did not (shows how professional they are), and now I don’t know what to do about getting this sticker. I could go back and argue the point with the shop & threaten to turn them in for noncompliance, but they may or may not do anything about it, and I don’t have a receipt from having it done. So how do I get this sticker? Do I have to go to ANOTHER shop & pay more money to have it done right? Secondly, what about people that do their own window tinting, how do they get the “legalization” sticker if it was done in their own driveway and not even at a shop? Any info is greatly appreciated and I know now to never take my vehicle to a less than reputable shop, which apparently this one is not. If I had known about the tint law, my vehicle would not have left their shop without it, and if they didn’t put one one there, I would not have paid or had it done in the first place. Thanks.

I drive an is300 and it’s similar to the one above. The trunk forges out so I’m afraid cars behind me won’t see the sticker since the rear window is very slanted. Where in the rear window is the best spot? Remember, the sticker is not that big.

I notice when i bought my car it had a bit of tint on all the window except the front windshield. Then i just notice that on the bottom corner of ever window tinted it has the VW logo and says tinted window then in a circle it says E9 does anyone know what this meanS?

Hello there. I need some help. I just got a 2001 corolla LE a week ago. Three (3) days ago I changed the air filter, had a engine flush done, replaced engine oil, transmission oil didn’t need change.(will change spark plugs and wire next week). Everything great! until today when I went to get the car NYS inspection sticker. The car passed with no problems. But right after I left the inspection I turned on the window defroster, the car RPM goes up to 2.5 or so and then down and up a couple of times and then engine turns off. I can get the regular heater on and it works with no issue. What could be causing this issue?
could it be the computer that did the diagnostic to car? (OBDII)

car is Automatic, 4cly, with 85k miles.
Regular Heater works fine. and rear defroster works.

2/18/10— ok I took it to a mechanic. And found that the Compressor cause the car to turn off. For some reason when I turn on the defogger the Compressor starts. And also found out that the compressor seems to be stuck . And that’s why car shuts down.

you know that sticker telling you to get your oil changed every 3,000 miles even though car company’s today recommend every 5,000 to 7,500 miles why don’t they change the sticker to every 5k to 7k miles that sticker does nothing for me so i erase that 3k crap and make up my own schedule usually between 6k or 7k

This problem has been going on for about 3 yrs+. I’ve not given this ugly fat black creature no signals whatsoever that I am attracted to her. (By any means am I racists just being descriptive of the stalker) I’m a small framed guy she’s probably 1 1/2 times my size. Several times I gave the shooting finger signal as well as the infamous “finger” signal. Still dont get it. I recently found out her name by people from her building; I doubt she knows mine; which is across the street from mine and boy did I lay tons of insults via facebook (with a false name of course but stating that “It’s me the guy across the street. Stop stalking me”). I also left a sticker that read ugly fat bitch on her car window. The pleasure of seeing her read the sign was priceless. Hopefully she figured it was me. However, she continues to stalk and stare from her window. Whether it be me watching tv, playing video games, using the computer, etc esp summer nights when windows must be open. I can see her nasty big fat shadow in the dark-dimmed kitchen (like I wouldn’t notice) is scary enough. I can’t even look out of my window in peace sometimes. Sometimes attractive females pass on by the street she goes on to see who i’m whistling at. I’m like wtf. Not only that I notice a few times I go outside; coincidentally she’s there entering a supermarket or walking the dog. Just to get a close up. This is pathetic. We talking about a mid 20’s adult here. Seriously!!!! I’m 1 step close in just knocking this fat monster with a left hook, right cross straight into dream street. I would like to hear some real suggestion. Can I take any legal action? (No sleep with her talk suggestions please) Won’t happen in this life or the next after next. Thanks guys.
